Kaj Madsen was founded in 1984 and has since developed into one of Northern Europe's leading specialists in international transport of temperature sensitive goods.
Based in Kolding, we have built a company with over 1,300 dedicated employees and a modern fleet of more than 600 own trucks - all optimised to deliver high quality, precision and reliability across Europe. Our strong and committed team works hard every day for mutual success.
Our core competence is the transport of fresh meat, hanging meat, fish, fruit, frozen vegetables and other sensitive goods - and we are proud to be trusted by some of the biggest players in the European food industry.
All our trucks and trailers are state-of-the-art and serviced at regular intervals. With 24/7 monitoring and close collaboration with Europe's leading manufacturers and workshop networks, we ensure reliable and environmentally conscious transport - always with the customer at the centre.

Temperature controlled transport
We handle food products such as meat, fish, dairy and fruit - and have more than 700 modern refrigerated trailers with advanced refrigeration and safety systems.
Trailer Swap & flexible solutions
We offer trailer solutions with stand-alone trailers at the customer's location. This ensures flexibility, saves storage costs and minimises waiting time.

At Kaj Madsen, sustainability is a natural part of our daily operations. We are committed to reducing our environmental impact and continuously invest in greener solutions - both in our fleet and at our terminals.
Our lorries meet the minimum Euro 6 standard and many already run on LNG and biofuels. Our trailers use electric standby systems, and at our head office in Kolding, we have installed solar panels, charging stations and water-reusing washing systems.
Using advanced technology, we optimise our routes and minimise empty running, which both reduces CO₂ emissions and improves efficiency. For us, sustainability is not just a goal - it's an integral part of how we create value for both our customers and society.
